Musee de la porcelaine

Contemporary ceramics

Following a ceramic tradition of major importance since the late 18th century, a porcelain triennial was organised in Nyon between1986 and 2001. This event, held in the castle, contributed to the initiation of a purchasing policy aimed at contemporary ceramics. The Museum has thus purchased works by both Swiss and foreign artists and continues to do so (although they are not on permanent exhibition). The collections include works by Arnold Annen, Philippe Barde, Edouard Chapallaz, Béatrice Deschenaux, Michael Flynn, Tony Franks, Sueharu Fukami, Christian Gonzenbach, Loredana Longo, Jeannie Mah, Shigekazu Nagae, Kaoru Ojio and Masamichi Yoshikawa.
